While visiting Calabasas, California in 2011, I purchased this 3.25 ounce/92 gram original flavored brand of beef jerky at a Ralphs store. This being the large grocery store chain Ralphs, owned by The Kroger Co. They distribute this jerky based out of Cincinnati, Ohio, and have locations throughout Southern California.

This is one of those great finds, where it makes all the work of searching for jerky from store to store, city to city worthwhile. You never know what to expect, and much of it is dumb luck. This 3.25 ounce/92 gram bag of peppered flavor beef jerky was purchased in Penn Yan, New York in 2009, located in the Finger Lakes region. It was purchased at a store name Aldi’s, where it was common to see horse and buggies parked in front of the store from the local Amish community.
